Luke Tscharke is a Hobart-based landscape and nightscape photographer whose primary passion is inspiring others to connect with the natural world. Originally trained as a biologist, Luke’s scientific background gives him a unique advantage in planning his shoots by interpreting complex weather and space weather data.

Now a full-time photographer and a Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, his work has earned significant recognition, including the prestigious David Malin Astrophotography Award in 2018.

Through his workshops and images, Luke actively supports dark sky conservation efforts and helps others capture the extraordinary beauty of Tasmania’s wilderness.
